Witch’s fingers

Which (or witch?!) children don’t like fish fingers?! They’re the go-to food if you want to rustle up something quickly for dinner and always go down a treat.

Our deliciously crunchy fish fingers, combined with tangy tartare sauce and a healthy dose of fresh red pepper, can be disguised as putrid witch’s fingers (bleurgh?!).

That’s it; just three items are required to create this fun Halloween snack for your party. One red pepper, fresh fish fingers and a pot of tartare sauce.

You just simply cook the fish fingers in the oven for 15 minutes and then begin to prep the accessories.

To recreate the witch’s nail, cut one red pepper into small triangles (or squares) and dip into your accompanying tartare. The sauce acts as a glue, allowing you to stick the pepper in place on top of the fish finger.

If you want to go one step further, why not sprinkle some fake charcoal onto the middle of the fish finger to depict the finger wrinkles?

Spooky spider fishcake

Fish cakes are a bit more of a sophisticated taste but are still super delicious. Nowadays you can grab fishcakes with an array of fillings but the simplicity of pure fish trumps all.

Our crispy, golden fishcakes, when coupled with a few delicious prawns for legs, and our favourite vegetable, the pepper for eyes, you have the ability to create a super scary spider.

Once again, just three items are required to create this fangtastic table creature that we guarantee will be devoured by adults and children alike.

Simply oven cook the fishcakes until cooked throughout, defrost the prawns by running a cold tap over them until they appear pink. Then finish the look by chopping a pepper into pieces to create the eyes and fangs before adding these to your spider.

Don’t forget to add our fishcakes and king prawns to your online basket to create this super scary spider!

Witch’s broth

If, like us, you don’t happen to have a witch’s cauldron sat at home all year round, this fantastic plant-decorative cauldron is the one we used in this photo.

The centrepiece of any Halloween-themed party must be the witch’s cauldron. It’s big, circular and stands proud in the centre of any witch’s home but, your one doesn’t necessarily need to be this big!

Our selection of homemade bisques, casseroles and stews sit perfectly inside a witch’s cauldron, whilst providing an added visual element of disgustingness this Halloween!

All are handmade in store by our head chef Peter, each planned out meticulously and then cooked to perfection before freezing for later use. Like any stew or bisque, just defrost 6-8 hours before you plan on eating it, and get a saucepan ready on the hob.

Warm the hob and drop in the defrosted contents of our mixtures. Then allow the contents to simmer on a low heat until cooked throughout then pour into your decorative witch’s cauldron.

Shop our selection of homemade bisques, stews and curries and to your online basket!
